She Loves You. Just Not Like That.
Friend Zone is a place where you learn to live
Nobody tells you when it happens. There's no line you cross where you suddenly end up there. It's gradual. You tell yourself she's just a friend. Then you start seeing her almost every day. Then it feels comfortable. Then you notice she makes you a better version of yourself. And then it's too late.
People think friend zone means rejection. That it's something that happens in one sentence. But it's worse than that. It's a slow realization that she's built you in her head completely differently than you've built her in yours. And you knew it the whole time. You just wouldn't admit it.
What's bad about friend zone? Nothing. That's exactly it. She loves you. Really. Just not like that. And she sees it, sees it burning in you, and still texts you several times a week, shows up for you, tells you things she wouldn't tell anyone else. So you sit here and wonder why it's not enough. Why you can't just be yourself when this is so nice.
In the end it becomes what it really is — a habit. She becomes part of your life. And you learn to love someone in a way called friendship, even though it's not quite that.
